CNC Machinist - Second Shift

Responsibilities:

Operate in a safe manner in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
To produce pipe nipples according to company Quality Standards and Goals
Setup and operate CNC Lathes & Barfeeders, as directed by the CNC Supervisor, to consistently perform multiple cutting and machining operations with various materials and alloys.
Adjust and replace CNC tooling as necessary.
Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed and depth and angle of cut.
Collect and analyze data to include tool life, quality, and the manufacturing process.
Set-up and perform necessary side operations during machine cycle time as required
Perform daily maintenance of machines as required and inform supervisor of necessary maintenance beyond routine.
Perform other responsibilities as needed to ensure the success of the CNC operations Manufacturing Department and the company as a whole.
Use a comparator, gauges and related instruments to measure parts.
Advocates the spirit of teamwork and personal accountability in the performance of other duties and responsibilities as requested by department supervisor.
Willingness and ability to work overtime when asked by a manager or supervisor.

Requirements:

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
2 year degree in Machining Technology, CNC Machining Certificate, preferred
Successful completion of educational training proving mechanical and technical aptitude.
Minimum of 3 years' experience with CNC lathe technology.
Ability to set up, operate and edit Okuma control packages preferred.
Ability to accurately use and interpret findings of quality inspection equipment including thread gauges, calipers, rulers and optical comparator.
Basic computer skills including data entry and Microsoft Office based software
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
