Key Job Responsibilities:

The Quality Manager role involves people management, data analysis, and strategy selection and execution with responsibility for customer claims. The role develops programs around customer needs and wants in an effort to create marketplace advantage as well as support the understanding and verification of claims. Program development is accomplished by collaborating across boundaries and coordinating quality work streams, resulting in a match between customer requirements and process/product capabilities. The role drives verification of claims via A3 thinking, resulting in solid analysis of root cause and implementation of effective countermeasures. The Quality Manager role will interface with customers and end users, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Distribution. The role is also a key resource for the VP of Manufacturing & Distribution and will assist with division-wide quality initiatives. Results are delivered by having a broad base of process and product development experiences, advanced level statistical data analysis skills, and voice-of-customer experience.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

o Train and provide development opportunities for staff. Ensure annual goals are well defined and communicated. Ensure Global Performance Management System is up to date and regular feedback is provided to staff members.
o Lead and support field technical support resources.
o Monitor and evaluate team members, and adjust training as necessary needed.
o Attract, retain, and develop high potential talent.
o Model and promote the Corporation's Code of Business Ethics and Values.
o Perform general management duties, exercising usual authority concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions and terminations. Responsible for training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.
o Act as a team role model and change-agent.
o Positively lead and influence team members to partner together to achieve individual and business goals.
o Coordinate team efforts, create and manage a regional strategy and team operating plan.
o Improve product consistency.
o Provide project management and technical leadership.
o Lead cross-functional teams. Communicate and work with all levels of the organization.
o Manage a large multi-function program or a set of projects. Interact with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
o Responsible for quality assurance efforts for assigned area.
o Achieve maximum levels of productivity, ensuring that the business benefits from the lowest possible cost and best value.
o Responsible for clear, focused leadership, to further reduce the barriers to delivering competitive advantage via global size and scale.
o Provide leadership to select local and/or global quality initiatives.
o Develop and execute appropriate business plans to identify opportunities for marketplace advantage and new ideas for products, processes, and services.
o Develop quality Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures (OGSM) for assigned area and confirm linkage to global business strategies.
o Lead benchmarking of quality-related topics in support of divisional goals.

Position Requirements:

o Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
o 10 years manufacturing and engineering or related experience, with managerial experience, preferred.
o Certified Quality Engineer, Affiliation with ASQ, or other related certifications and affiliations preferred.
o Sound engineering and people-leading skills.
o Demonstrated understanding and skills in project and program management, including 3rd parties.
o Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO or related experience preferred.
o Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes and function specific software.
o Strong math and analytical skills.
o Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
o Strong scientific and engineering knowledge.
o Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to be an advisor to customers (and internal stakeholders) and build strong and sustainable relationships
o Skilled in team building and experience in effectively working with cross functional teams



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
