Responsibilities:
Conduct examination of intricate castings, forgings, and in-process and finished product to confirm adherence to requirements.
Precisely document nonconformities discovered during examinations.
Accurately record all data as required on records, logs, data sheets, routings, sketches, and reworks.
Perform initial piece examination to verify that manufacturing process meets blueprint specifications.
Be capable of working from written procedures, operation sketches, blueprints, assembly prints, routings, and reworks.
Must be able to accurately use a wide variety of complex examination devices such as plates, comparators, verniers, jo-blocks, snap gages, mics, and electronic indicators.
Perform necessary mathematical calculations to validate/verify dimensional relationship and accuracy.
Must have the ability to work an off shift (2nd shift:
3:
00pm to 11:
00pm and/or 3rd shift:
11pm to 7am) Must have the ability to pass the Alloy Identity Certification.
Must have the ability to be certified for the walky stacker and be able to use a hoist.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Must have two (2) years examination experience.
Apply basic math skills.
Have thorough understanding of ANSI Y14.

Read and interpret blueprints and operational sketches.
Possess skills necessary to interpret and follow operating procedures.
Possess skills necessary to maintain accurate documentation of examination data.
Possess sufficient computer skills.
Pass all applicable visual/dimensional written and operational examinations.
Use a variety of complex examination gages.
Meet required vision standards.
Have a high school diploma or GED equivalence.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is frequently required to walk.
The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk to hear.
The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and fumes or airborne particles.
The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal levels to loud.
